Institution Name: Rock Hall Of Fame

Exhibition Title and year: Inducted 1986 - ongoing

Description: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's online inductee page functions as a digital exhibition celebrating artists who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Even though this isn't a traditional kind of exhibit with a time frame or a set theme, it still feels curated and intentional. Each artist has their own page, making it easy for viewers to explore at their own pace while still experiencing the exhibition in an organized way.
One of the strongest parts of this online exhibition is its easy navigation. When you click on an artist, you immediately see a photo, the year they were inducted, their category, and who inducted them. As you scroll down, the information unfolds in a clear order, starting with a short background and moving into their impact on music and what was featured during their induction ceremony. This layout feels similar to walking through a physical exhibit, where each section builds on the last.
The visual design also plays a significant role in why this exhibition works so well. Having a black background with white text makes everything easier to read. The yellow text just really draws the attention to the key details without it being so overwhelming. Having the concert posters and the signatures just really helps bring the career to the artist to life rather than just reading about them in a magazine. The influence section stands out in particular, since it shows both who inspired the artist and who they later influenced. When names are clickable and lead to other Hall of Fame profiles, it encourages viewers to keep exploring and make connections between artists.
Overall, this digital exhibition is effective because it feels well-organized, visually strong, and easy to engage with. Although this is entirely online, it successfully recreates the experience of learning about the artist in a museum setting, leveraging digital tools through links and scrolling to deepen the experience.

Exhibition Title and Year:
"Night Train to Nashville: Music City Rhythm & Blues Revisited"
April 2024 - September 2025

Description:
This exhibition is an updated version of the exhibition "Night Train to Nashville: Music City Rhythm & Blues, 1945-1970," which opened in the museum in 2004. The original exhibition focused on the impact of R&B music that was popularized in a city that was known for country music. Many record companies during this time separated their music between blues and country due to racial segregation at the time. The reinvented exhibition includes some of the original information and pieces, with new artifacts, photos, and information. The online exhibition was very successful in my opinion, as it includes a colorful title page with moving graphics, and makes use of text size, hierarchy, and positioning in an interesting way for viewers. The title page includes links for the eight different chapters of the exhibition that focus on different subtopics. The webpages for each of the chapters follow the same style rules and layout as the title page, incorporating different sizes, positions, colors, fonts, etc; for the text. The images on each of the webpages vary in size and how they interact with the text and the page itself. There are many moving elements on the page, including images and text that show up when the viewer scrolls through the webpage. Some of the webpages also include music (from the accompanying album that was created for the original exhibition) that can be played. There are quotes from famous musicians important to the topic of this exhibition. Each webpage for each chapter also has its own color palette, which helps with the consistency and cohesion. There are multiple buttons throughout each webpage that allow you to move from page to page, and/or return to the title page. One of the webpages groups together a collection of videos and interviews that can be viewed on the website or on an external website.

Title: Now & Then: Contemporary Illustrators and their Childhood Art
    Year: 2019
This Exhibition features a variety of picture book artists, giving each their own section of the online exhibit. Each section includes the artist in their youth, a drawing they created as a child, and a drawing that was created in recent years. The sections also include a statement from each of the artists that shares about them and their inspirations. The exhibition really fits into the museum itself as it focuses on picture book art just like these artists create. From a design standpoint, the exhibit has a clear, successful color palette that is showed throughout the entire page. Each section has a very clear start and end which allows for easy navigation. The exhibition also has a very appealing title page, however, it is very big and creates an issue with scaling which is something to think about for our exhibition. The exhibit also includes a google map like representation of the actual in person exhibit. Another interesting feature included in the exhibit is a click through slideshow that gives you ideas for drawing at home which adds a fun, interactive feature. Also, going along with the theme, a click through slideshow of children's art made and left at the museum is included.
